● CURRICULUM VITAEPRODUCT MANAGEMENT / B2B FINTECH / LONDON
Chintan Shingala
Product manager with five years in product, eight as a professional - all of it B2B fintech. I've worked across insurance, risk, salary-linked lending, pensions, and now private markets, where I lead two product squads and report directly to the CEO. The job has continually changed underneath me - from specs and translation, to discovery and evidence, to building. I've made a career of noticing the change early and moving first. 01/ EXPERIENCE
Product Manager - Co-Invest & Pre-TradeJan 2026 - Present
VEGA, LONDON
Functional lead across two product squads, reporting directly to the CEO. Private markets fintech building the agentic operating system for fund managers (GPs) and their investors (LPs).
- Own roadmap, resourcing and delivery for both squads (10 engineers across front-end, back-end and QA); sole product decision-maker below the CEO in a flat structure, working across engineering, design, GTM and clients
- Co-Invest: inherited a single-client workflow tool built by transcription; rebuilt from the real co-invest raising process through prototype-led continuous discovery across the market, paired with GTM. Four GPs have committed to trials on live deals from a previous position of zero external adoption
- Pre-Trade: entered an RFP for a data room without a data room product; reframed the brief into a modular pre-trade experience which covers fund creation, marketing, data room, access, analytics - demonstrated to a major private markets investor inside two weeks and is now integrated into the product suite
- Built and hosted client-facing prototypes at production standard: real authorisation, defined workflows, audit and engagement analytics, and feedback mechanisms
- Leading a product-suite-wide redesign with the design team - driving the Tailwind v4 upgrade, a new component library and design system, and a governance process built for the age of AI, so engineers and PMs can't ship unreviewed components into client-facing products and prototypes
- Directly manage relationships with three of the world's largest alternative asset managers, including Apollo - running working sessions, demos and evaluations. Also demo the Co-Invest platform and VDR to asset managers across the market on a regular basis
- Fully AI-native ways of working: AI-built prototypes (Claude Code, Codex, Lovable) validated with clients before engineering commitment, agentic workflows and harnesses across the squad's delivery, small PRs raised directly, and a company-wide talk codifying the approach
- Zayna (agentic voice assistant for investor relations) - Vega buildathon, 2026 - concepted and pitched an agentic assistant answering LP questions over live voice - step-up authentication before disclosure, entitlement-scoped answers, automatic human handoff on aggression or advice requests
Product Manager, Data & AutomationApr 2024 - Jan 2026
CLEARGLASS ANALYTICS, LONDON
B2B fintech bringing cost transparency to the pensions industry by analysing, validating and benchmarking asset management charges.
- Owned the automation roadmap targeting the business's largest operational bottlenecks; wrote PRDs and technical specifications across the platform
- Led the LGPS multi-scheme platform: made the case for build over headcount, automated deeply hierarchical fund-data processing end to end. This created a new revenue line with a new client type and a new pricing model
- Deliberately under-built the first version against engineering appetite for full reconciliation engines; shipped into the first collection cycle and let it teach what the second version needed
- Transformed QC-to-asset-manager query handling with in-platform comments, automated logs and request-response syncing; defined success metrics and drove decisions through SQL analysis and internal APIs
- Line-managed and coached a junior PM - weekly 1:1s, verbal and written feedback on process and professional progression, and ownership of the quality of their work
- Worked directly with asset managers including BlackRock and UBS and pension schemes including USS and Brunel (LGPS) on data collection, validation and query resolution
Product Manager, Employer Servicing & PaymentsDec 2021 - Apr 2024
SALARY FINANCE, LONDON
B2B2C fintech partnering with 500+ UK employers - loans and salary advances repaid through payroll.
- Owned the roadmap for employment validation and payment flows, plus performance of external integrations and third-party providers
- Led SF's first direct-to-employer API integration (Sainsburys): real-time employment validation for 200,000+ employees with live salary and leaver data. Designed the backend flow introducing a middle layer translating employer data into the core validation service's model, keeping the core untouched
- Real-time validation broke the platform's batch assumptions: I led the internal system redesign which included new statuses, leaver-moment UX and automatically triggered documentation - done while coordinating externally with Sainsburys' outsourced Oracle delivery team. The implementation was then agreed for NHS trust foundations nationwide
- Took an employer self-serve product from ideation workshops through prototype usability testing to MVP, removing 700+ hours/year of manual operational work
- Completed a major usability study for the external validation tool (EVA) which included interviews with internal stakeholders and external users, usability testing and user surveys. Culminated in a report that provided recommendations that were signed off by the LT and delivered, transforming manual validation at Salary Finance
- Managed employer-side delivery relationships including Sainsburys, the NHS and Travis Perkins
